Beckham is an affectionate, energetic, and intelligent guy who excels at agility training, basic and complex commands, and lounging. It’s hard to tell which he likes best – solving puzzles, playing fetch and tug-of-war, or reclining on the couch with a chew toy.
Beckham is considered special needs, behaviorally - he is very protective of his personal space, and will react if people get too close, or pet him for too long. Beckham needs a patient, devoted person who will earn his trust, and respect his boundaries.
Animal Aid will provide free sessions with Beckham's certified fear free / positive reinforcement trainer to help that special person learn how to help this special dog.
Potential adopter must have a securely fenced yard, and live in an adult-only household.
Beckham is dog-selective; an introduction with your dog will be required.
If you are interested in meeting Beckham, please contact our Training Coordinator at training@animalaidsociety.org
* Will consider adopters outside of a 40 mile radius of the shelter.
