Tradition Brewing Company has been brewing up something special in collaboration with Animal Aid Society of Hampton, VA this summer! In an effort to help homeless dogs in our community find their much needed forever homes, Tradition Brewing will be releasing the “Chasin’ Tail Pale Ale” over the July 4th weekend. This specialty brew will feature Animal Aid Society dogs that are available for adoption on the packaging with a portion of the proceeds being donated to Animal Aid Society.
According to Tradition Brewing Head Brewer, Brian Martin: “ When we saw the support from the Coastal Virginia Community at the Animal Aid Society BrewDog Celebration this past January, we knew we had a unique opportunity to collaborate by combining our two great passions: dogs and beer. Since the beginning Tradition Brewing has always been passionate for our furry friends, so supporting a no kill shelter that has been in our community for almost 50 years was a no brainer for us. We are excited about what the future holds and look forward to continuing to grow what is becoming a beautiful partnership.

About Tradition Brewing Company
In 2014 Tradition Brewing Company started sketching out plans to build the first craft brewery in their hometown of Newport News. From the beginning, the goal was to create a space where people from all walks of life could find commonalities and camaraderie over quality craft beer. And to have a little fun along the way!
In 2016, we opened our doors to the public. The support we’ve received from the community was mind-blowing, and left us humbled and excited for the years to come. Today, we sport a 4,000 square foot Taproom with a Mezzanine Loft, complete with a secondary bar and ample seating. The windows overlook their production area, housing the brewhouse, fermenters, and our canning line.
Over the last four years, our regulars have become our family, partners, and friends. We continue to strive to not only make the best beer available in the state of Virginia, but to have a positive impact on our community in every way possible. We invite you to stop in, relax, enjoy a flight and see what Tradition Brewing Company is all about. Bring your dogs!!
About Animal Aid Society
Founded in 1971 by Sue Henninger, Animal Aid Society has been serving the Coastal Virginia community for almost 50 years and has grown from a backyard operation to a 7 acre, 41 kennel no-kill dog shelter in Hampton, VA with over 100 volunteers. Dogs are kept at the shelter until permanent placement through adoption or foster. They partner, support, and network with other rescue organizations in our community who are also working to assist animals in need both locally and state-wide.
Our mission: the purpose of the Society shall be to provide to/and or for animals, other than man, shelter, medical aid, care and protection, to act as a placement agency for animals in good health, and to provide education for the humane care and treatment of animals, and to attempt to prevent cruelty to animals. We are a nonprofit organization that receives no funding from state or federal agencies. All of the funds required to maintain the shelter and care for the dogs come from donations and special fund-raising events.
