Sweet Tanner has been at the shelter far too long and yet he makes everyone smile on a daily basis. Tanner does amazing tricks with his special ball. He is truly an All-Star soccer player! He knows several obedience commands, waits nicely for treats, and loves going for walks and car rides. Tanner would thrive in an adult household. He is sensitive if someone grabs his collar or neck leading us to think that there were some traumatic moments in his past. He would also love to be an only dog or selectively choose his canine siblings.

Tanner does appear to have some separation anxiety. Separation anxiety can be very manageable. He will do best in a home with a family that is knowledgeable in working with separation anxiety or with a family that is willing to educate themselves and potentially bring in a trainer to assist them. We have two wonderful certified positive reinforcement / fear free trainers that are available to address any concerns you may have.

Cats: Unknown
Dogs: Dog selective; requires a proper introduction
Would do best in a calm environment
